Letters and Numbers

In the below font I have a very hard time telling what letter is what, so I often end up guessing.

d, b, p, q, g, j, &, 8, 6, 9, 5, 2

But this one is much, much easier. I might still get them mixed up, but, I can decode them if I take a second to look at each letter.

d, b, p, q, g, j, &, 8, 6, 9, 5, 2

Fonts and Colors

Here is an example of the two different fonts with words that you may see on a menu.

appetizers - appetizers

entrées - entrées

cheeseburger - cheeseburger

$9.99 - $9.99

$11.95 - $11.95

Now, I know that the font on the right may look bland to you but, it is much easier to read if you struggle with reading. It can also be helpful for people who just forgot their reading glasses at home.

Here is an example of a very difficult color contrast.

Even though it has the same two fonts as the above example it is still very hard to read.

Which just goes to show that you need both a good clear font and high color contrast, like white on black or black on white.

Movement

The below GIF is the most accurate representation of what I experience when I read.

Now keep in mind that there are differing levels of dyslexia. So, that means someone who has less severe dyslexia might not experience this much "movement" of letters.
